Woodland Activities

Tucked beside our herb garden, opposite Brewberry Coffee and next to Reception, you'll find one of Blackberry Wood's hidden gems – our charming vintage caravan library and games room. Filled with cosy cushions, bookshelves and plenty of character, it's the perfect place to curl up with a good book, enjoy a quiet moment, or shelter from a passing shower. The library is stocked with stories for all ages, from babies and young children through to teenagers, as well as a selection of books for adults. We also love sharing books about wildlife, woodland living and the natural world to help guests connect with the beautiful environment around them.

Inside the caravan you'll also discover a collection of games, puzzles and family activities. Many of our accommodation units contain games too, but guests are very welcome to borrow books and games from the library and enjoy them back at their cabin, caravan or campsite.
We simply ask that everything is returned when you're finished so that future guests can enjoy them too.

For children who love a challenge, there are plenty of adventures waiting across the site. Pick up a Fairy Door Trail from the shop and see if you can find the magical doors hidden amongst the trees. Keep your eyes peeled for our woodland Duck Spotting Trail, where little rubber ducks have been cleverly hidden throughout the woodland. Along the way you'll also discover the quirky birdhouses dotted around the site and perhaps even spot some of the wildlife that calls Blackberry Wood home.

Before you head home, don't forget to visit the shop where you'll find a range of fun keepsakes and woodland-inspired treasures. From cuddly guinea pigs inspired by our popular
Guinea Pig World to Blackberry Wood gift bags filled with goodies and useful holiday treats, there are plenty of souvenirs to remember your stay. We also run seasonal activities throughout the year, so depending on when you visit you may discover Easter trails, Halloween surprises, Christmas magic and other special woodland adventures designed to delight children and families alike.
