Up, Up and Away! Come and stay in our converted 1965 Wessex Search and Rescue helicopter! It sleeps two adults or a family of 4 in 2 double beds (or 1 double, 2 singles). With a fan heater built into the Holicopter, you will be nice and toasty inside on a cold evening.
You can even sit in the cockpit!
The outside kitchen area is sheltered and the toilet and shower facilities are about 50 metres away. With a fire pit, deck chairs and an outdoor seating area, you can relax and enjoy a wonderful camp fire.
Sorry-no pets.
All our units are shoe-free zones so bring along some slippers too.
What you will need to bring with you: All of your own towels and bedding, we would suggest sleeping bags work best in this unit, due the shape and size of the holicopter.
What is provided: Tea towel, washing up liquid, cloth, kettle, cutlery & utensils, plates/bowls, glasses, cups, cafeterie and pans.
What is in the outdoor kitchen: 2 ring electric hob, kettle, toaster and a fridge (with a small freezer).
Sleeping in the Holicopter: One large double bed at the back end of the Holicopter and there's a double
bed that folds out in the living area section. Our fold out bed is more suited to children than adults however.
Where to park: There is an allocated car parking space, with a private path leading down to the Holicopter (please see photo below). Look out for the sign that says, "Parking for Helicopter guests only."
High season:
From the Second May Bank Holiday to end of first week of September, all School holidays, Bank holidays and Weekends in mid season.
Holicopter: £125 (2 Adults) - 2027 Rate £135
Mid season:
Mid-week after Easter holidays until the Second Bank Holiday in May. September-October. School holidays and weekends, during mid season dates, are priced as high season.
Holicopter: £110 (2 Adults) - 2027 Rate £120
Low season:
Mid-week rest of the year. Weekends priced as mid-season
Holicopter: £80 (2 Adults) - 2027 Rate £85
Extras per night 2026: Adult £17, Child (aged 3-15) £12 (applicable throughout the year)
Extras per night 2027: Adult £18, Child (aged 3-15) £12.50 (applicable throughout the year)
Vehicles
One vehicle is included in your booking fee, if you wish to bring any additional vehicles a charge of £5.00 per vehicle per night is applicable (please collect your parking permits from reception and ensure it is visible through your windscreen)
Security Deposit
To help us keep Blackberry Wood looking its best, we request a refundable security deposit
before arrival.

Minimum booking requirement:
